Sure, exercise is its own reward, but why not enjoy the incredible scenery of Garden of the Gods while you’re at it? While you can run, hike, and bike any time you want, here is a list of the top races held at Garden of the Gods.

Garden of the Gods 10 Mile and 5k

Like the name implies, there are 10 mile and 5km courses. Held annually in June, this is one of the biggest road races in Colorado Springs. Last year, over 1,000 people competed in the 10 mile race and hundreds more ran in the 5k. Start training now!

Take Five in the Garden

Take Five in the Garden, part of the Colorado Springs Grand Prix of Running, offers 5 mile and 5km courses. The race is held in May each year, which means it’s the perfect tune-up if you also have the aforementioned Garden of the Gods 10 mile in your future.

Race for the Cure

While not technically a race, you don’t want to miss this event. More than 3,500 people participate to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen organization. There is a 5k walk/run and a Family Walk that is less than a mile. Put this one on your calendar for September and feel good about getting exercise and helping a great cause!

Starlight Spectacular

Gear up now for the annual Starlight Spectacular. This recreational night-time bike ride starts at Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, winds through Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City, and then finishes back in the Garden. Pick your course, ranging from 14 to 22 miles, and ride into the night!
